Partners
Malcolm Katon
Malcolm joined the firm in 1991 and became a partner in 2000. Boasting extensive experience in working with small to medium sized businesses, from new sole traders to clients with turnovers in excess of $50M, Malcolm brings a diverse knowledge and understanding in business operations to every client.
Away from the office, Malcolm is a keen photographer and also enjoys music, rugby league and assisting his wife with her miniature horse hobby. Malcolm's qualifications and memberships include:

Shalesh Prasad
Shalesh joined Hancock & Associates in October 2008 as a Manager and became a Partner in July 2017. He has over 18 years of experience in the Chartered Accountancy environment, including having worked as an auditor for a number of years at a large nationally recognised audit firm.
Shalesh has worked with clients across a varied range of industries including medical professionals, building and construction, hospitality, property developers, primary producers, manufacturing and many other types of businesses.
His skills and experience are a valuable contributor towards the firm's expertise and knowledge bank and the provision of accounting and technical taxation advice to small and medium sized businesses.
As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, he is very focused on the development of staff, quality controls and professionalism within the workplace.
One area of Shalesh's expertise is in providing tax consulting and planning services to small - medium market businesses, their owners and high-net worth individuals and family groups. He has a wealth of technical knowledge surrounding Superannuation (including Self-Managed Super Funds), Small Business Capital Gains Taxation and GST.
Another of his strong suits is assisting 'new comers' to the business world, assisting those who want to run their own business, advising on business structures, setup and running their own business.
Away from the office Shalesh spends time with his family, always going places. He enjoys travelling and is always looking out for new places to explore. Shalesh is a confirmed "motor head" and he and his boys love the motor racing scene. He enjoys all kinds of sports and is very involved with his sons' soccer teams.

Kyle Sinclair
Kyle joined the firm in September 2006 as a trainee accountant, graduated as a Chartered Accountant in December 2013 and became a partner in July 2017.
He has a thorough knowledge of and experience with individual, small business and Self Managed Superannuation Fund clients. To keep up to date with legislation changes and further develop as an accountant/partner, Kyle regularly participates in professional development activities.
In his personal time he enjoys playing/watching sport (including playing soccer since he was 8 years old and support teams over several sports), listening to all genres of music and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters and their 2 miniature dachshunds.
